Through counselling I endeavor to walk beside, encourage, and champion you in your story of being and becoming
AREAS OF FOCUS
AN INTERNATIONAL LIFE
As someone living in a new culture and country, there are many unique growth and pain-points. For example, cultural adaptation and stress, managing relational tensions in cross-cultural teams, facing insecurity, ethical dilemmas, and readjusting upon returning to one's passport country. These life experiences may be accompanied by such struggles as, loneliness, loss, alienation, moral injury, and burnout. As a fellow traveler, I hope to come alongside you to support and strengthen you, as you adjust, adjust again, re-learn, and discover the path ahead.
Distressing experiences can leave us with memories that return to us unwanted and sometimes unexpectedly. Such recollections can evoke high anxiety and emotional distress. These experiences may be a frightening event(s) or relational injuries (neglect or abuse). As a result of these experiences, we may find ourselves facing a painful combination of fear, shame, lost sense of meaning, and grief. I endeavor to walk this path with you, staying the course and steadying you, as you restore and grow.
